FRENCH BRAID

Hello beautiful people, I hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

Two weekends ago when I went to my hair stylist, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair then I remembered a photo Danielle of the Style and Beauty Doctor posted of her hair in a beautiful french braid, to which I commented and told her I'll be stealing her look :-) Even though I have relaxed hair, the minute water touches it, it goes back to its natural state. So my hair stylist created this beautiful braid that I wish I didn't have to take out.

POPS OF COLOR & A LITTLE SASS

Outfit details: Blazer: H&M Tuxedo Blazer / Skirt: H&M (currently on sale) / Handbag: Angela & Roi / Shoes: Nine West (old) / Necklace: Gift (HERE)

If you're following me on Instagram you would have seen that I was on vacation in Europe for 2 1/2 weeks! It was such a beautiful, memorable vacation. I visited places that totally blew my mind and it was such a dream come true for me because some of the places I visited hold a very special place in my heart. My Great-Grandma made me the wanderlust that I am today and even though she's no longer here with me, I know she is so happy to see me do all the things I dreamed of. I also had some of the most delicious food and pastries and now, the gym are I are best friends again :-)

After such a lovely vacation, I am happy to be back to work. While I love the classic black and white, it wouldn't be me, if I didn't add a little pop of color or two to give it that "Nesha sass" and that's exactly what I did with this outfit and it turned out to be entirely me.

I will do a "style dairies" for every place I visited in Europe, starting this weekend. I hope you're all having a great week thus far.

BLUE & ORANGE

Outfit details: Shirt: Forever 21 (love this printed one) / Pants: Loft (similar) / Wedge: Jessica Simpson (love this pair) / Handbag: Angela & Roi (here & here) / Watch: Invicta Angel / Sunglasses: Coach / Bracelets: H&M and Pandora / Necklace: old, from a boutique in Brooklyn

Blue and orange is one of my favorite color combos, and it is also my Alma mater's colors, which makes this outfit perfect for game day. I love how bold those two colors are and it definitely makes one stand out. I last wore this shirt here and again it was quite a bright combo :-)

What do you guys have planned for Christmas? What's on your Christmas list? Hubby and I are planning to have a very chilled out Christmas, last year we spent Christmas and New Years in Miami and it was incredible. I have been attending lots of holiday parties and eating and drinking my fair share of goodies. Lots of outfits coming up. Have a fab week!!

PREPPY

Outfit details: Top: Forever 21 [old] (here) & (here) / Skirt: Forever 21 [old] similar /  Belt: Aldo This  one is on my wishlist) / Shoes: Jessica Simpson / Necklace: via Poshmark / Handbag: Angela & Roi (here) & (here) / Watch: Invicta Angel / Bracelet: Gift from Mom

Pleated skirt and peter pan collar blouse? Definitely reminds me of my school uniform when I was a kid. I adore peter pan collars, there is something so feminine and girly about it, and it looks good on every woman, regardless of age. I love the gorgeous mint green color of this blouse and the polka dots gave it that added touch of "girliness". There are also some very tiny knife pleats at the front. This is another outfit I wore to work, the great thing about it is that it can easily be transitioned for evening drinks, by switching out my handbag for a clutch and adding more jewelry.

On another note, it's been raining here a lot lately and I don't mind it at all, I love the sunshine but when December rolls around I like when it cools down and so far it's been perfect, I can finally start dusting off my blazers :-) I won't lie, I really miss snow, I am so jealous of seeing all my friends and family's beautiful pictures, a winter trip may be in the works. Have a great weekend. xx

ISLAND STYLE: LIGHT & BREEZY

Outfit details: Dress: H&M / Shoes: Aldo (similar) / Handbag: Angela & Roi (here and here) / Sunglasses: Versace / Necklace: Poshmark via All4designer / Watch: Invicta / Bracelet: Alex and Ani & gift

This is another cool outfit I wore while I was in Grenada. Even though it was very hot that day it was also very windy, which made the heat a bit more bearable. I love this chiffon dress/tunic because it is perfect for the heat. It is quite see through, which I believe is more appropriate for the beach, so I wore a slip underneath, belted it and paired it with my favorite pair of wedge sandals and this gorgeous bubble necklace I purchased via Poshmark. It is also the one day I decided to flat iron my hair. I hope you all have a beautiful, relaxing weekend.

BRINK PINK

As I am sure you are all aware, it's October!! A few of my favorite people are celebrating birthdays this month and it's also Breast Cancer Awareness month. I took this opportunity to dedicate my first post of the month to this cause. In my last post HERE I blogged about BeGood Clothing Company based in San Francisco and also mentioned that they carry Angela & Roi handbags; I love what both company stands for (see my earlier post here). My indecisiveness made it very difficult for me to decide which handbag I should purchase from the line so I have been thinking it over :-) While browsing BeGood's website I saw the Sunday tote in Brink Pink and I was in love! I purchased it using the coupon code that I shared "begoodislandhipster" and got 20% off.

Photographs can't do this tote justice, it is the most beautiful shade of pink I have ever laid my eyes on and made of the softest vegan leather. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen that I was recently in New York visiting my family. I wore the tote as soon as I received it and the compliments I received were endless. This color supports breast cancer and $5 is donated to The Ellie Fund.

For this post, I centered my outfit around this lovely tote and in keeping with the theme opted for this pink shirt and floral skirt. Do you guys partake in any breast cancer awareness activities?

Outfit details: Shirt: Old Navy / Skirt: Loft (Similar) / Shoes: Ralph Lauren (different color) / Handbag: Angela & Roi via BeGood Clothes also Here / Bracelet: Alex and Ani via BeGood Clothes / Watch: Michael Kors / Necklace: Gift

ANGELA & ROI - HANDBAGS WITH A PURPOSE

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend. For those of you that know me personally, you know how much philanthropy means to me and how much I support brands that gives back. Last week I was contacted by Angela, co-founder of Angela & Roi who introduced me to their high quality vegan handbags, vintage inspired with a modern touch. With Angela & Roi, fashion meet philanthropy; with every handbag purchase $5 is donated to a  chosen non profit  organization based on the color you choose. Different medical issues relates to specific colors, for example YELLOW represents child cancer therefore, if you purchase any yellow handbag $5 is donated to Childhood Cancer Awareness.

There are so many beautiful handbag on their site, I am still pondering which one to purchase, even though it's quite impossible to go wrong with any of these handbags. So here's an idea, if you are in the market for a great looking, high quality handbag head over to Angela & Roi, you will have a variety of styles (totes, shoulder and cross body) and not to mention colors to choose from and you will be supporting your cause. Check out their website to read more about the causes they donate to as well as their drool worthy handbags.
