While most people have a "work uniform" and I am not talking about the kind mandated by some employers, I am talking about the routine outfit you wear all the time, I am not that girl. While it's important to me to look professional, I won't be caught wearing the same boring outfits every week. On a weekly basis I can be seen wearing anything that reflects my personal style, which I tend to describe as "chic," from a floral dress with a light cardigan, ankle pants with a cute blouse, an outfit like the one above or jeans with whatever choice of blouse I am feeling that day, paired with our without a blazer or cardigan.

WHAT TO WEAR: WEEKEND STYLE

Hey everyone! Here's another edition of "What to Wear" As you guys know I live in the Caribbean which mean that while some of you are enjoying fall weather, it's hotter than ever where I live. I know I've mentioned one too many times how much I miss Fall, exhibit 1 and exhibit 2 so instead of creating looks for only tropical climates I thought I'd live vicariously through all of you who are enjoying fall and create a few Fall looks.

I usually spend my weekends running errands and for that I like to be as comfortable as possible, especially in the heat. The accessories I added can be used for each outfit and if you're not running errands and want to dress things up a bit, a pair of wedges or sandals with a cute clutch or cross body bag can easily do the trick.

For the fall looks, if you're like me and get cold easily, a pair of tights and a heavy coat will keep you nice and cozy if you're wearing the skirt or dress. Leather jackets and trench coats are my thing and they are perfect for any occasion, dressed up or down. Oh, let's take a minute to drool over that gorgeous Sole Society bootie. I wanted to share some of the items that I am currently craving / my current wishlist with you guys. Unlike most of you, who are trading in your summer clothes for appropriate fall and winter attire, I am looking for more summer clothes :-) I live in a 365 days a year summer weather and even when it rains it's still lovely; most of the times...ahh the good ole island life. As I mentioned in my previous post, I love fall, it's my favorite time of the year, and as much as I have a love - hate relationship with island life I don't see myself trading it in anytime soon. I don't like winter! Wait, I loathe winter! Believe me, I have lived in places where I experienced brutal winters. I would cry and wish I was back in the islands sipping on a cold beverage while laying out on the beach. All my whining aside about winter, I can't wait to be in New York in November, finger's crossed for really nice weather.

Even though I now live in the always sunny, sometimes rainy islands, I love when December rolls around because it gets a bit cooler and I can wear a light sweater, makes me feel like I am back in US. I miss fall, I should also mention it's my favorite time of the year. While all three looks can be fall appropriate with the addition of a pair of tights and a jacket I decided to create the last look with the chunky cable knit sweater because I really miss a cozy chunky sweater. The few I kept are hanging in my closet waiting for me to visit my family so they can come out to play.

After a busy and hectic week, the one thing I look forward to, expect sleep, is date night with my husband. Sometimes we opt for a casual night in where we watch a movie, eat junk food and play games and other times we go to a restaurant for a nice meal and then hang out with friends. I thought I'd create two outfits via Polyvore, one casual and one dressy. Don't be surprised if you see photos of me in both outfits because both are totally my style. Last Thursday evening I met with Chrissann from Women Who Live on Rocks & Adventures in Toucanland and Ice from Foolproof Living for dinner. Even though we live on the same little island we had never met, so after chatting via social media we planned to meet for dinner at Cocomaya. It was so nice to spend a great evening with two lovely ladies and get to know a little bit about both of them. I laughed so much that night, I found myself wondering "where have these ladies been all my life?" Believe me they are both HILARIOUS! Overall, it was just amazing to meet like minded women who share the same interest. VACATION STYLE - VENICE

Venice, Italy oh how I love and adore thee! Even though we visited some beautiful  places on our trip, Venice stole my heart! Wait; scratch that, I left my heart in Venice. Words can't describe the beauty of the place and how relaxing it is. Apart from the delicious food and countless slices of Pizza I devoured, what I enjoyed most was walking around San Marco and visiting St. Mark's square, Rialto Bridge, the Basilica and other sites. I thoroughly enjoyed walking through the alleys while gazing upon the beautiful blue skies and freshly washed linens  hanging from window.

I loved that there were no cars! Everything was transported via water and in more ways than one, the place was a maze; there were occasions when we walked around a few times and couldn't help but laugh. Venice exceeded my expectations and I am so in love, I can't wait to visit again. The only bummer was that Marlon and I didn't get to go on a Gondola ride as planned because it rained a bit the evening we planned to go and the temps dropped so there was no way I was getting on the water. I can't wait to visit again!

TIE DYE & BIRTHDAYS

My husband and I share a God daughter and on Sunday she turned 4! It's incredible to watch her grow, it seemed like it was only yesterday she was a baby and now she's a "big girl". For her birthday, my husband likes to take pictures of her in whatever cute little outfit her mom dresses her in. Since she was having a little pool party, I wanted to dress as cool and as kid friendly as possible so I opted for this tie-dye maxi which was perfect for the occasion. I love a bright pair of pants for work and while I love pairing them with other bright colors, sometimes a neutral color is a go to for me, since it makes the pants stand out more. This pair of violet pants is one of my favorites, I have worn it with a combination of colors and they still seem to stand out; such a gorgeous color, plus Loft can never do wrong in my book, because at 5'3" I never have to worry about finding the perfect fit at their store.
