...and my obsession with stripes and statement necklaces continues, in the form of this ultra feminine peplum top, and necklace I can't seem to stop wearing. Another easy look I pulled together for work at the last minute. I have had this top for quite sometime but have only worn it with jeans; so instead of trousers I decided to pair it with a pencil skirt. What I love about the peplum trend is how versatile and universally flattering it is, provided that you get the right fit. As I am writing this, I am remembering this beautiful green peplum dress I purchased from Asos last year that I have only worn twice, I may need to take it out for a spin :-) I hope you're all enjoying your Tuesday. xoxo

LUSH FLORAL
This outfit is the sort I like to wear when it's going to be a very hot day. It's simple but still appropriate for work, and lightweight enough for the Caribbean heat. I love the little side slit on this skirt, and the print; the print is very baroque-esque and reminds me of something I saw my great grandma wearing in pictures from "back in the day." I always strive for comfort at the office and I always carry a cardigan or a blazer with me to brave the AC; and in case I need to head out to run an errand or meet with someone for work this outfit is definitely heat proof.

ISLAND BOHO CHIC
Outfit details: Crop top: Macys (in love with THIS) / Shorts: Old Navy (old) (similar) / Sandals: Kenneth Cole (currently on sale) / Headband (boutique in Brooklyn) THIS one is on my christmas list / Watch: Michael Kors / Necklace: via Poshmark / Bag: Aldo
Everyone that know me, knows I love to express myself through my clothes. I am never afraid to wear anything I like, because I live by the motto that we should all dress for ourselves. If you're happy with what you're wearing and you feel beautiful in it that's all that matters.
I have a serious addiction to floral headband and head wraps, my husband would say any headband and in a sense he may be right :-) I wear them everywhere! On this occasion my husband and I were heading out to have drinks with our amazing realtor and her family at a restaurant on the beach. I've been wanting to wear this embroidered crop top forever, so this was the perfect opportunity to style it and it was appropriate for the beach bar/restaurant setting. We had such an amazing time in Grenada and can't wait to go back.

SPOTTED WITH MY BOYFRIEND
Outfit details: Shorts: Gap / Top: H&M / Flats: Target / Necklace: H&M (I need THIS one) / Watch: BCBGMaxAzria / Sunglasses: Versace / Bracelet: Pandora (gift from my husband) and H&M / Head wrap: my mom's scarf / Bag: Aldo (old) (love THIS)
...roll up shorts, that is. I die for this pair of shorts from GAP, as we know the boyfriend style is definitely in and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and I can totally understand why. I wore this on the last day of my vacation to run a few errands. It was the perfect outfit; light and airy and again, perfect for the weather. I decided to add a little sass to this outfit by using my mom's scarf Istole borrowed on my last trip to Brooklyn as a head wrap and pairing it with my leopard print flats.
On another note, I love the pandora bracelet my hubby got me, the charms are lovely and they are a perfect representation of "us," I can't wait to add more charms to it.

ISLAND STYLE: LIGHT & BREEZY
Outfit details: Dress: H&M / Shoes: Aldo (similar) / Handbag: Angela & Roi (here and here) / Sunglasses: Versace / Necklace: Poshmark via All4designer / Watch: Invicta / Bracelet: Alex and Ani & gift
This is another cool outfit I wore while I was in Grenada. Even though it was very hot that day it was also very windy, which made the heat a bit more bearable. I love this chiffon dress/tunic because it is perfect for the heat. It is quite see through, which I believe is more appropriate for the beach, so I wore a slip underneath, belted it and paired it with my favorite pair of wedge sandals and this gorgeous bubble necklace I purchased via Poshmark. It is also the one day I decided to flat iron my hair. I hope you all have a beautiful, relaxing weekend.

MIXED STRIPE
Outfit details: Dress: Express - sold out (love THIS) / Shoes: Aldo (similar) / Necklace: via Poshmark / Handbag: Coach / Sunglasses: Coach
This mixed stripe drop shoulder slub dress from Express is everything one needs in a perfect little "island dress." The band of color blocking, mixed stripes, three quarter sleeves and lightweight cotton material makes this dress an easy and very comfortable option for the heat. When I spotted it at the Express store, I wasn't too sure about the fit and since I hate trying on clothes I didn't listen to my mom and only bought one color; a decision I am regretting.
This is another outfit I wore while I was in Grenada. It is quite possibly one of the most comfortable dresses I own. Now I will begin to stalk poshmark or ebay in hopes of finding another color, since it's sold out.
I paired it with my favorite pair of wedge sandals from Aldo and this beautiful necklace I purchased from one of my favorite Poshmark sellers All4designer. Her closet is AMAZING and she has beautiful statement necklaces. I got so many compliments on this necklace and I can't stop wearing it!
