Who doesn't love a little shift dress they can throw on for any occasion and with a little added accessories you're set? I love this dress, it's so simple and easy to wear and the material is so nice and light. It's very low maintenance and it can be dressed up or down and still be a stunner. I get so many compliments every time I wear this dress, I usually wear it with understated jewelry but this time I decided to wear this gorgeous oversized floral necklace that I begged my Mom for, for almost a year until she finally relented and let me have it :-) I absolutely love this combo.

I am becoming so much better at shopping my closet, I no longer feel the need to purchase a new dress for every special occasion, instead I look to my closet and wear the dresses I've only worn once, and sometimes have never worn. The great thing about shopping your closet is that you get to style things differently and I am really enjoying that at the moment.

My husband and I went out to dinner Valentines night and I decided to wear this French Connection dress, I wore to a Pitbull concert in Miami in 2012. I am so happy I wore it again, because I remember falling in love with it the moment I saw it on the rack at the store.  I have a thing for shoulder pads (my great grandma was a believer in all things shoulder pads :-) ), and that's one of the reasons why I love this dress so much.

PASTELS

Outfit details: Blouse: Express (similar) / Pants: (similar here & here) / Shoes: BCBGeneration / Necklace: similar  I love pastels, the hue is so light and feminine and the softness of it all, screams Spring. This outfit reminds me of Easter and all the pretty pastel hues, I wanted to add a touch of drama, so I opted for the tribal print pumps and hot pink necklace. The weather here has been so nice lately, I'm wishing it can stay this way, but I know in a few months, we'll be back to the heat.
